It's certainly hard for me to give any advice, as I'm sure the situation is complicated. Just know that I'll say a prayer for you, your family, and your unborn baby.

@Eddie — I can understand your frustration at the situation. It's the fact her and her mother think I don't need to be there. the room is too small, is the biggest reasoning they give. I guess maybe she has a point. But the truth is this is my child as much as her. I would like to be a part of what I can be, and be there to support her for what I cannot partake in (cramping, pain, mood swings etc) Just frustrtated and if I bring it up I feel like it will lead to an argument.

My problem isn’t getting the time.. most appointments but one I will be able to make. I love seeing the ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat. And you are right, it is really nice to get to know the doctors.

I agree that it's not as important to attend the routine checkups after the first kid. In my case, my wife and I both work for the same company, and the hospital is literally across the street. So it's a no-brainer for me to attend, even for kid #2. :D

@Vincent – Thanks for sharing what you did. With our second, I didn't go to every one, but I went to the most critical ones. Especially when we found out our daughter was breech and we had to go for some extra check-ups and appointments to turn her around, I was there for all of those, both because I wanted to be, and because Love Buns needed the support.
