Those are all good suggestions. My wife and I have an understanding during college football season. Saturday afternoons she takes the kids out while I get to sit and watch a game or two. I think that works out pretty well. Your suggestion of getting the family interested in sports is a good one. We used to live in Arlington TX and just a few blocks from Ranger Stadium. It made it convenient to go watch a few games every year. The boys really loved the experience. Hope that holds through the years.

My wife is more into sports than I am. She is a baseball fanatic and can quote stats like a pro.

Thanks Tyler. I know guys who are bigger fanatics than I am, but I have to admit that I do have a passion for sports (although I gave up on fantasy football a couple years back). My favorite teams are the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and Duke Blue Devils.

I think that even if a guy isn't into sports, most guys are into "something," so hopefully these tips could be adapted to whatever that "something" is.

Great article Jon - I'm not a big sports guy but when there's something I want to watch, I want to watch it. We don't even get ESPN at the house and the only real sports I watch are the PGA majors and SEC football. I'd love to be able to get the family into sports but I'm not a die hard fan of any one team so it's hard to spread the passion.
