Dear President-Elect Obama,
I‘d like to offer you my sincerest congratulations on winning the Presidential election. As you already know, dads and families in this country are having a hard time of it lately, so I hope and pray you provide the leadership our nation needs to turn things around.
Some dads are losing their jobs. Some dads are having to work second jobs to pay the bills, robbing them from that precious little time they have to spend with their families. Some dads are losing their homes. Some dads are even having trouble providing the basics for their families.
Not all dads… but some.
You promised many things during the campaign.
- You promised to cut our taxes.
- You promised to make health care more affordable.
- You promised to provide leadership in this financial crisis and help keep people in their homes.
- You promised to increase jobs.
I am optimistic that you will fulfill these promises. I am optimistic that you will make family issues a priority of your administration.
I will keep an open mind as you take office. I will lift you up in prayer, and will pray that your Presidency is successful, for the benefit of the entire nation.
Dads are counting on you to make this nation better for us, our families, and our neighbors’ families. Please don’t let us down.
Sincerely,
Jon @ DadTrek
