Dads, I hope your children make you laugh at least as much as mine does. Olivia’s quite the 2 ½ year old, and she makes me laugh pretty much every day!
Here’s some of the things she’s done to crack me up recently:
- She started jumping up and down last evening, yelling “I’m peeing on my pajamas!” and she really was. She’s being potty trained and was in fact peeing in her pajama pants. Hey, you just have to laugh at this kind of stuff or you’ll go nuts.
- Recently I was watching MTV Hits, and Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” video came on. All of a sudden Olivia started to imitate the hip dancing they were doing in the video. Shan and I almost fell out of our chairs laughing.
- Olivia was singing “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and decided the animal would be a dinosaur. Since she thinks dinosaurs roar (think of the sound bears make), she sang the ENTIRE song that way.
- I love to tease and tickle her. Well she loves to tease and tickle me right back! For example, I have my “guy” chair in the family room. (You know… the recliner with the beer cup holder that’s directly in front of the TV.) If I get up to go get something, when I come back Olivia will be sitting in my spot, looking up at me with the cheesiest grin ever.
