Congratulations, that is great news and a great story. Smarty Pants also started Potty Training around the age of two, and we had accidents here and there, but it was worth it. He was really proud of himself and now that he is almost 3 we never have accidents anymore. We found he mostly had accidents when he was distracted or highly concentrated on playing. Overall, it is a really great time, and even if you back track a bit here and there, it is normal, you get back on track again quickly.

My boy took some encouragement and time but my two oldest girls initiated the whole process themselves. 18 months through the day and 20 months through the night is our record.

Olivia's kinda back-tracked this week on the potty training. Oh well... we're not going to sweat it. She'll get there!

Congrats to your daughter! That's a major accomplishment.
We had a few accidents here and there but noting too bad. I love the fact that my daughter can go all by herself...she's proud that she can do it and we love not having to hover over her every time.

This too will pass (pun intended). I'm a lot less driven about potty-training our youngest who's nearly two and a half. The twins were three-ish when they were trained and my boy still had accidents at four. All is well now at four and a half but my eldest daughter still tells me about it every time she goes (and doesn't flush).

Good progress. We're still having problems with our 3+ year old at nights. We've been training her for a year now.
